Well my Epic moved to another town living a fabulous life that she and her family so deserve but I miss her deeply. I have literally seen her every day for the past 3.5 years this year was the first year we didn't walk our kids to school on their first day. So yes I'm having a pity party for 1....

Don't get me wrong I'm so happy for her, ecstatic actually for her and family to have this opportunity.

We just need to adjust and txt more or call each other more! We will I know it! 

                      So my Epic, I miss your face, and can't wait to see you next week!!!!!

I'm still working and loving it, I want to write more but I need to get ready for a baby shower for my girl Vanessa and my friend Melissa will be here soon and I haven't even begone to get ready. I promise to post more but I do have a new pic for you all

Oh Snap!

Well damn I went and got a job! Oh yeah you read that right A JOB :)

Its nothing fancy just working at Target yes I said that the stuck up way LOL

So I've been crazy busy but I'm enjoying working again so that is a plus I guess?

I'm down to 176 and my 14 shorts are getting seriously lose I'm even having to wear a belt

so that is it basically I will have more soon I promise but I can't keep my eyes awake!

Being spoiled never hurt...

So Saturday my lilo went off to girl scout camp and I mean Early too. 

So I grabbed my Epic and we went to deep water aerobics at the rec center 

an hour later we had our toes and eyebrows done.

So later on I came home and told the hubby it was date night, we had only 14yr old home 

and he can fend for himself. Hubby didn't sound to thrilled about my brilliant plan so I went and took a nap. Roughly 25mins later hubby comes into the bedroom tells me to dress nice we leave in 35mins Umm Ok..

So we start driving and driving and I notice we are going towards Mountain View I'm like ok the
Back Street Boys concert is this weekend ????  Nope not a chance lol

So we see the exit for Great American Amusement park and do you know whats across the street from the park? well do you?

So we drive by and take pictures and talk about how excited we are about coming to watch games here. 

 Next stop Saratoga, CA so he tells me we are going to walk so I guess I should add I'm in some really cute killer wedge sandles and a cute hot pink sun dress

so this place is pitch dark while I was there reminded me of a spooky haunted house!

So this dinner took 2hours to complete and it was so worth it and thank god the hubby parked 3blocks away I needed the walk after all of that.

So phase 2 of the date hubby called it 

Yes I was Giddy I've been wanting to come here since I moved to California 12yrs ago! And the tour is 65mins long you walk over a mile in the house alone. 

The most epic thing was we were doing it a dusk!  I don't think the hubby really cared for it but I was in Awe over everything. 14yr old was pissed that he didn't get to go but we are going to take them to the mystery spot in Santa Cruz over the summer.

Breaking News!!!

So I was starting to put away my never ending pile of laundry and I remembered my girl Jennifer gave me a bunch of size 12 pants since we are both short,

 So they have been sitting in a basket in the closet waiting for the day my fat ass could fit in them.

Well all be damned today is that day!

Fitness Challenge!

So I do these work-outs, I have an issue with getting kinda bored so this is how I spice it up while watching my shows

 (Drop Dead Diva, The Originals, The Vampire Diaries, Beauty & the Beast Etc...) 

while doing these plus I also add 30 mins on the Elliptical too. And if I want something quick and easy I do a DVD I usually do 40 mins of this DVD.

let me Explain, Duh ! I rotate which circuit I start out with one days I just do 2 challenges and the Squats that one is mandatory for my ass ( Honestly my ass is flat)

4 months down more to go......

So, earlier this week I hit my 4 months post op. 

And damn I feel good! 

Things I've noticed I'm able to sit in weird position and I'm comfortable! Oh and my tail bone kills me when I sit down its drives me crazy I never really had a ass but damn I miss the padding LOL.

So on my last post 4/13/14

Oh my  freaking god, I wore a juniors size 14 dress  and it felt great! But seriously what is with the 90's clothing coming back into style really I saw sunflower print dress and  crop tops and high waist  pants.

3 months out today

I don't think you can really tell I started this amazing journey last August my EPIC and I started taking pictures every month to follow are path to see where we have been. 

August 2013 I was 230 lbs, February 2014 I was 200 lbs,  March 2014 198 lbs, April 2014 189 lbs.

Only thing I honestly notice are my boob's they look like rockets! LOL

If you have been following me, you know I went to Hawaii last summer well while I was there my Hubby bought me some cute hawaiian print shorts I ♥'d them but couldn't get them past my thunder thighs! (real problem) 

So today I found them in a pile I proclaimed "NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN" and said what the hell I tried them on and damn it to hell they fit and where loose! So excited me, I called the hubby and he was like yeah, then he told me to change before I brought him and his staff lunch. (side note I'm PMS something fierce)  I wanted to cry I took them off and changed and now I feel like a humpback whale. :( 

I have dropped pants sizes and even bra sizes but yet I still feel like a whale 

I can't explain why I feel this way but sometimes I look in the mirror and I see the Me I was last summer.

Not the me now and that sinking feeling creeps back and my mood is ruined.

Anyways today is 3 months since I had the surgery I just wanted to share and vent I guess!

Day of my Surgery I was 220 now 3months out I am 189 and still losing!

Ok, so down to business! I've lost 12lbs since my surgery on 1/13/2014

Just got off the phone with my Doctor and he told me to move up to stage 3 so instead of stage 1 Jello, liquids, clear stuff and stage 2 Jello, Strained soup, Applesauce. 

I can move to STAGE 3

This means scrambled eggs, lunch meat, cooked veggies!!! REAL FOOD!!

This makes a Happy Momma!

So in the talk of all of this Pain level is good not really any unless I bend a certain way.

I'm peeing like a race horse though. 

So let me run this down for you.

Calorie for me right now 400-500

Protein 70-80g

Carbs 30-100g

Fat no more then 30g

Sugar the less the better

Fluids 64 ounces 

So basically that is all I got People!

So I finally did it, I had surgery and yes I'm sore and that's ok with me!
And Yes I know its been FOREVER since I've been on here shit my bad I swear people can change! (LOL)
But since I had the surgery on Monday January 13th, 2014 (Grumpers 4th Birthday) I knew I had luck on my side! I need to start blogging again with this kind of surgery there are times a person can think what the hell did I just do to my body. I know I have my Epic and our support group, but sometimes its better to write about it then talk if you know what I mean.
So there will be at least one blog a week (fingers crossed)
So wish me luck I'm so excited to start this journey and my new life.

So my last post was in August, wow my bad!

Lets rewind and recap here

• Kids started school
• Oldest turned 14
• took trip to Oregon for Labor Day weekend to see the Oregon Ducks play for said 14yr olds Birthday present.
• Cancelled my surgery ( couldn't do it) 
• Lilo turned 8
• 14yr old killed his first Deer 
• now we are up to date!

So I went and bought a Fitbit and I love it! it automatically links to my computer,ipad and phone
tells me how many miles,steps,calories and even tells me if I got a good nights sleep.
 
Wondering about the surgery aren't you?
So I had my pre op and everything done. two nights before the surgery it hit home I'm having major surgery. My hubby was very emotional and begged me not too and after thinking Yes, I was made and hurt but I  understood his concern I have a higher risk of infection than most people due to me having the staph infection in my blood. I've had multiple staph infections due to this thing in my blood. So day of said surgery I woke up and my lymph nodes in my neck were swollen.
So a blessing in disguise?  I've lost 40+ lbs by myself why can't I make it 45more??
So this is my mission now to lose the other 45 I can do this I know I can.

Oh My headache

This week has been a crazy one and let me tell you I do not want a redo either LOL!

This week marked the first week of school, first week of everybody has their heads up there asses!
Nite before school started on Wednesday I couldn't for the love of coffee sleep! I stared at the wall, I counted how many times my hubby snored. And as soon as I did finally feel the call of sleep my damn alarm clock went off yelling for me to wake.

This year I have to wake earlier like 5:45 instead of 6:20 due to my 14yr old starting class at 8am instead of 8:20 like when he was in middle school. No! High school is 8am so that means I leave my house at 7:15am every morning! Gosh I'm tired just writing about it.
So after I dropped the big man on campus, Lilo and I went over to Epic's House to walk our kids to school together. While walking instead of driving to many new parents having a fit over there kids and not leaving the school, to leave us any parking spots that is why we opted to walk (good call too).
On top of that 14yr old has High school football now so after school he has practice until 6pm. And let me tell you what a wonderful ball of fun he is after that LOL.
So after I deal with him I head home and I've been forgetting to eat at night.Opps I guess!

So kids like their teachers Yeah! Me, Yeah! I on the other hand do not like one of 14yr olds football coaches he can kiss my nice No ASS!

Friday my 14yr old has his first High school Football Scrimmage we did good but the coach I don't like played the same 11 kids throughout the game that right there will wear them out, burn them out or even injury them. 14yr old finally played a couple plays (proud Momma here)
So after leaving the place sunburnt and a new headache we went back to the our high school to pick him up and Oh my he stunk!

So today 8/24 this day 14yrs ago I was admitted into the hospital to have my baby boy!
Tomorrow 14yr old really turns 14!  So Happy Early Birthday honey!
so Party tomorrow mixed with some fantasy football and some San Francisco 49ers it will be an Epic day!!

I'm Back Bloggers!!

Hello World, I'm Back!

Ok rewind I believe my last post was about me being 5lbs away from my surgery.

Well now fast forward I got my DATE 9/10/13 I'm so ecstatic about it. 

So currently I'm at 222lbs when I started this whole damn process I was 255lbs

    so total pounds lost "33"

Even bigger news my Epic is following me in the journey she is in the process of the surgery too. 

I couldn't be happier to have her by my side and vice versa for her.

Ok, Home front:

Ready? Grab a tissue or two, I have a Freshman in highschool and he is also on the freshman football team to. I'm so excited for him on this journey through life. Within in a 10 days he will be turning 14 ok now, I'm sobbing :( 

My lilo is starting 3rd grade this year and we just found out Epic's son and Lilo will finally be in the same class this year. We aren't thrilled with the teacher but trust me, we will be watching and listening for anything.

Mental Note: Hubby is not allowed to shop with daughter alone

            (prone to come home with hermit Crabs)

For Myself: I finally got my tattoo on back and my Hubby got his first tattoo!

On mine the Red Hibiscus represents my dad, the two pink plumeria are the kis and the white plumeria my dog McKinley and last the Hook is my Hubby!
Now his, is a Hawaiian fish hook since my Hubby is actual Hawaiian and a Fisherman! 

So Basically this summer has flown-by so fast I forgot to blink

Went to Kona, Hawaii had a blast got some ink done too hehehe! Went snorkeling everyday saw some amazing sea life even got chased by Honu (sea turtle) I'm not going to talk about the flight now I will not waste my breath on that horrible ordeal. Lets just say United Paid for the kids to go next year.

We went on our family camping trip and lets say FAIL! Night one two of the air mattress didn't have caps (SMH) then the second day the kids shot the guns and we tried to fish didn't really catch anything but sun. That night was when the excitement happened. We had to pack the camp up with in 20mins due to 14 year old falling on wrist that automatically started swelling and turning black and purple. So 2hrs later in the ER getting xrays, it was just sprained THANK GOD.
So there you go my summer in just a paragraph how sad to think about it!

So

Good news I'm 5 lbs away from my goal for surgery or I should say when they schedule the crazy test!

That's all that is happening right now oh besides my daughter broke her elbow and my son is graduating 8th grade in 10 days

Why?

This this post is going to get really personal for me, I will not cry! I will not shed a single tear but it hurts.

I've already lost one parent in 2005 and that shook my world upside down. I survived with help of my family and my mom. Since the death of my dad I've seen my mom 4 times since 2005 the last was 2011. Due to her living in my home state of Oklahoma and myself moving to California, and she spent a couple of days with my kids and hubby. So ok, Reason I'm telling you this so my mom called me and told me she was flying to Southern California to do some stuff  with my aunt I don't talk to. So the hubby came up with a cool idea we would buy a ticket for her to fly up from San Diego to Northern California to spend the day with her grandkids and Me! She point blank said "NO".  The Shock wounded me it left me scratching my head?  So I told my oldest the 13yr old and he was really hurt by this. I told him what my siblings have been telling me for Years my Mother is selfish.
    So last week she calls me and tells ask me "guess where I am"? I was like California and she responds I'm at Sea-world  Then the next Freaking day she calls me and tells me she is at the San Diego zoo. And a day goes by but bold and behold here is another phone call she is at Knott's Berry Farm. I'm like cool mom that's awesome! Great uh-Huh sure ok! while I'm shaking my head still in disbelief!

         What is it with Mothers? I swear I will never do that to my kids or grandkids! On top of all this my Mother in-law hasn't seen the kids 9 months and she only spent the day with them. Don't they understand they are hurting my kids? Don't they understand it hurts us too? It kills me to have to explain it to my 7yr old. especially when her world evolved around them. It hurts to even mention how much it hurts my son these two women were his world.
         With my Mother living in Oklahoma I understand why she never got to see him play football or won't be at his Middle school Graduation but my Mother In-law lives only an hour away there should be no excuse. I'm not mad at her like she thinks I'm more hurt then anything she became a person I no longer could open up to, a person I could just call up and have a conversation with.
       She Divorced my Father In-law not her son's and daughter In-laws and NOT THE GRANDKIDS!
   Don't get me wrong my kids now have an amazing relationship with my Father In-law now. And my kids love going over there and spending the nights. My youngest always ask when is she going over there to help her 'buddy' out!

I'm sitting here typing this and still shaking my head I don't know what else to do?
With Mother's Day around the corner I really don't know how I feel about this day do I send them something or not?  All I know if I don't see someone at my son's Middle school promotion ceremony in June I honestly will make a really hard decision and I will stick to it!

MOCK WENDY'S CHILI *PINTEREST*

Chili {Wendy's Style} Ingredients:

• 4.5 pounds ground beef, browned and drained
• 2 large yellow (sweet) onions, chopped
• 7 large green bell peppers, chopped
• 4 celery stalks, chopped
• 2 heaping tablespoons minced garlic (I use jarred)
• 2 cans Ranch Style Beans, NOT drained (15 ounce cans)
• 2 cans dark red kidney beans, drained (15 ounce cans)
• 2 cans Original Rotel Diced Tomatoes & Green Chili (10 ounce cans)
• 2 cans stewed tomatoes (15 ounce cans)
• 4 cans plain tomato sauce (15 ounce cans)
• 2 packages McCormick Mild Chili Seasoning (1.25 ounce packages)

Chili {Wendy's Style} Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot.*
2. Simmer for at least three hours (I let mine cook all day long).
3. Enjoy!

I did some things different I made this recipe in half I was looking at the recipe

and thinking wow that a lot so I cut it back and it turned out pretty Flippin good! 

Especially over a bake potato!

French Toast Muffins *PINTEREST*

FRENCH TOAST MUFFINS  KIDS RATED THEM 

5/5 TONGUES LICKS

1/3 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg (preferably room temperature)
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk

Topping (option: cut topping in half*)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350F.

In a medium-large bowl, sift together all dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients and stir just until combined, but still a bit lumpy. Do NOT overmix; overmixing will ruin the texture of the finished muffins. Also? Don't overmix the batter. Finally, don't overmix. Scoop batter into muffin tins that have sprayed with cooking spray. Using a large ice cream scoop, I got 8 medium-large muffins out of this batter; I think you could get 10-12 muffins by distributing the batter a little less generously. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they just start to turn a bit golden at the edges.

For the topping, mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Place melted butter in another small bowl. Dip the warm muffins in melted butter (you can dip just the top, but it's even tastier to dip the whole muffin!), then dip/roll the muffin in cinnamon sugar.
